KeyCreator / Create / Mesh / Mesh by 3 Curves
Use this feature to create a mesh defined by two generator curves and a director curve, or by one generator curve and two director curves. The mesh visually simulates blending two-curve surfaces. When you use this option, the end positions of the three curves must intersect to form a closed boundary.
Using the Function:
-
Select Mesh by 3 Curves from the Create>Mesh submenu.
-
Choose the entity type for the mesh.
-
Choose a method for defining the sweep of the mesh's profile:
>
-
Translate - Keeps the generator curve's orientation relative to the world coordinate frame as the generator curve is moved along the director curve.
-
Rotate - Keeps the generator curve's orientation relative to the director curve as the generator curve is moved along the director curve.
-
Select the generator curves.
-
Enter the number of segments for the generator curves.
-
Select a director curve, near the end from which you want to start the sweep of the generator curve.
-
Enter the number of segments for the director curves.
-
Choose whether or not the curves are connected correctly.
-
Choose whether or not to group the mesh.
-
If you group the mesh, enter a group name and, if necessary, a subgroup number.
