KeyCreator / Transform / Dynamic Copy
This function attaches a temporary full DynaHandle object to the selected entities. Moving the DynaHandle copies the selected entities. Interaction with the handle is dynamic, which allows cursor dragging a copy of the entities to a new location. Movement is locked to one axis at a time based on what part of the DynaHandle is selected. The DynaHandle is placed at a base position selected by the user. Choosing the skip option during command prompt for base position will set the base at the center of gravity of any solids chosen (when multiple solids are picked it will choose the combined center of gravity as base position. )The default orientation of the DynaHandle matches World Coordinates or the active C-Plane depending on the status of the CPlane/World (CPL/WLD) system setting. Using this Function:
Dynamic Transform typesCopy- Once clicked left click highlight a dynahandle and drag it to new location or use the right click context menu. You can select Copy multiple times after the initial copy or choose another dynamic transform type. Angular- Allows for transformation by angle using a defined axis position and then using the provided dyanahandles to transform along the axis or use the right click context menu. . Circular- Transform on a circular axis after defining the axis and then using the provided dyanahandle or use the right click context menu. Choosing the secondary Copy will produce copies along the circular path. Along- Choose this option to transform onto an entity or make copies along the entity using the provided dynahandle or use the right click context menu. The transform entity will keep its current orientation but will be moved by base position to the start point on chosen entity. AlongN- Transform by selecting an entity edge normal to the current cplane and then using the provided dyanahandle or use the right click context menu. Choosing the secondary Copy will produce copies along the edge path. The transform entity will have its base position aligned to the chosen entity. |
