Indicating Base PositionsKeyCreator / Transform / Overview / Indicating Base PositionsThe Position/Orientation features require you to indicate base positions.
Indicating Positions Using One Point:When you indicate only one position, the geometry is not rotated. Just the vector is translated from the old position to the new position.
Indicating Positions Using Two Points:When you indicate two positions, the entities are translated and rotated so that the first old position moves onto the first new position. The line is rotated from the first old position to the second old position about an axis normal to the construction plane so that it ends up on top of the line from the first new position to the second new position.
Indicating Positions Using Three Points:When you indicate three positions, the entities are translated and rotated so that the first old position moves onto the first new position. The line from the first old position to the second old position moves onto the line from the first new position to the second new position, and the plane containing the three old positions moves onto the plane containing the three new positions.
