The features available from the Modify>Trim spliter can be used to calculate the 2D intersection between selected entities and trim, or project (extend), the entity to the intersection.

When trimming or extending entities, it will be important to keep the following in mind:

• Splines (including NURBS) cannot be extended using these functions.

• Full circles can only be trimmed using the Trim Entities>Trim Double function.

• When entities do not intersect in 3D space, a projected intersection is computed in 2D space using the current CPlane. For Trim Position, the entity is trimmed to the position nearest to the entity in 2D space using the current CPlane. To perform the calculations using the current Display View, enable CP=DV from the CPlane menu options.
