Use this feature to create parallel running dimensions measured from the same base point, parallel to the direction of the axis.

Using the Function:

1. Select Running Parallel from the Detail>Linear>Running Ribbon area.

2. Indicate the first point for the axis.

3. Indicate the second point for the axis.

4. Indicate a base position.

5. Indicate a witness line height. This position is used to calculate the witness and leader lines for the dimensions.

6. Indicate a dimension position. When finished, select ACCEPT.

7. The dimension text extends from the common base point to the position you chose. The dimension text appears parallel to the witness line's angle and at the witness line height selected in step 5.
