Export to File

This feature is used to save note text from an existing note to an ASCII text file, and supports notes created using the Key In and Import features. Notes created using File are not supported.

Using the Function:

1. Select Export from the Detail>Annotation>More Ribbon area.

2. Select the note entity.

3. Enter a name and file specification, if necessary, for the text file in the Select Filename for Export dialog.

4. The file specification can include the drive, path, and filename extension. If you don't enter a path, the text file is stored in the note directory. If you do not assign a filename extension, a *.txt extension is used.
