Studs

Continuous thread and double ended studs use fields listed in the General Fastener section earlier in this chapter.  However, there are a few things that you should note in regards to the Stud database:

•  For continuous thread studs, the LNG and THRD fields need to always be the same.  

•  For double ended studs, the THRD value needs to be less than LNG divided by 2.

•  The HEAD field is reserved for future use and should always be NONE.

Note that values that do not follow the above rules give unpredictable results.
