Match Surface Edges

Matching edges of surfaces increases the fidelity of the surface model by eliminating gaps caused by curve fit approximations, and forces surfaces to become perfectly tangential to one another when this is the design intent. This allows for precise stitching of surfaces into larger sheet bodies, and also for combining surfaces together.

Using the Function:

1. Select Match Edges from the Surface>Modify Ribbon area.

2. The Match NURBS Surface Edges dialog appears. Configure the available dialog options.

3. Select the first face.

4. Select the second face.

5. Select the vector to indicate what surface edge will be matched.

6. Select the vector to indicate what surface edge will be matched on the second surface.
