Creating a Datum Target Symbol

Follow the steps below to create a Datum Target Symbol.

Using the Function:

1. Select Datum Target from the Detail>Tolerance Symbols Ribbon area. The Create a New Datum Target dialog appears.

2. Configure the available dialog settings. Click OK when finished.

3. Indicate a start position using the Universal Position Menu. If you elect to display a target point, it will be placed at this start position.

4. Indicate an end position. The datum target is placed at the end position you indicate here. The datum target symbol is placed as you have instructed.
