KeyCreator \ Tools \ Machinist \ Path \ Verify-Toolpath

Location: Tools>Machinist>Path>Verify Toolpath

The Verify Toolpath feature allows you to view a visual representation of the machining in solids. When this feature is selected, you are prompted to select the toolpath(s) you wish to verify.

NOTE: The MCU Program must be loaded while the Verify Toolpath dialog is displayed in order for the Verify Toolpath feature to operate. Do not close the MCU program window.

Using the Function:

  1. Click Tools>Machinist>Path>Verify Toolpath.

  2. Select the toolpath(s) you intend to verify.

  3. Define the stock by selecting either Limits, Corners, or Auto. The only supported stock is a rectangular block with the world X, Y and Z axes.

  • Limits – When selected, the size of the block will be determined, and you will be able to adjust the size. Limits can only be used when geometry is currently selected, through the Path>Geometry feature. It displays a bounding box, which can be modified.

  • Corners – When selected, you will be prompted for opposite corner coordinates from which the block will be created. Once the block has been created, you are able to adjust the X, Y and Z minimum and maximum settings to increase/decrease the size of the block.

  • Auto – When selected, the stock will be defined automatically.

  1. Indicate part zero using the Position Menu button options. This is the coordinate in the model that corresponds to the 0,0,0 coordinate in the milling machine.

  2. The Toolpath Verification window appears, containing a preview of the toolpath(s) that were previously selected.
