Regenerate Toolpath
KeyCreator \ Tools \ Machinist \ Path \ Regenerate-Toolpath

Location: Tools>Machinist>Path>Regenerate Toolpath

Use this function to update or modify an existing tool path's geometry, tool or parameters used in tool path. Some tool paths will require reselection of tool paths. Excluded from this function are the 2D drilling and UV Flow. If you select an invalid type you should receive an error message indicating failure to regenerate.

Using this Function

  1. Select Tools>Machinist>Paths>Regenerate Toolpaths. The conversation bar prompts for selection of tool path to edit.

  2. Once selected a Regenerate Toolpath dialog appears.  choose Options/Edit as needed. Note regenerating 2 axis tool path will prompt for geometry reconstruction (select No in the conversation bar.) Choosing no forces use of existing geometry and any changes to original geometry will be reflected in new tool path processing (when possible.)

  3. Select OK when done and regeneration will take place.
