Use this function to import any of the following file types: .bmp, .dib, .gif, .jpg or .tif. These import as image entities and, therefore, can be edited (unlike OLE objects). You can change the image’s attributes (size, position, transparency and grayscale). You can import the image into any viewport or construction plane. Also, you can import multiple images into one file. The images are a guide for creating curves and shapes.
Importing an Image:
1. Click File>Import>Image. A dialog box appears allowing you to select an image file.
2. Select the desired file format in the Files of Type field.
3. Specify the desired image file in the File Name field and click Open. The file opens.
