Overview

Layout Control

The Layout Control function allows you to specify the parameters for a new layout or manage pre-existing layouts belonging to the current part.

Layout Toggle

This toggle function allows you to exit, or re-enter, Layout mode.

Layout Quick Open

This function provides rapid entry into a given layout.

Reprocess

The function manually performs a layout update to the current files content.

Create Instance

The Create Instance function can be used to add and draw instances to your layout.

Projected Instance

This function allows you to create a projected instance of a drawing instance as either auxiliary, orthographic, isometric or a multiple combination of these views.

Section Views

Use this function to create sectional cutout views of bodies in Layout or Model mode.

Detail Callout

Use the Detail Callout function to call attention to a specific area of geometry in a crowded layout instance.

Long Break Instance

This function assists in the creation of a typical drafting broken view for a given instance.

Move Instance to Layout

This function allows layout instances to be moved from one layout to another.

Paper Border

The Paper Border function allows you to display / un-display the dashed paper border that surrounds the layout.

Highlight Instances

Use the Highlight Instances function to easily determine what entities are instance-specific or tagged entities.

Replace Instance Entity

This function allows you to select instance-specific entities to convert to layout-specific geometry.

Burst All Instances

Use this function to convert an entire layout from instance-specific to layout-specific geometry.

Layout Revision

Layout Revision automates the process of producing a layout revision from an existing layout.

Tag to Instance

Use this function to select layout-specific entities to tag to an instance.

Untag from Instance

Use this function to untag layout-specific entities that have been tagged to an instance.
