Plane

Planes

A Plane is essentially an unbounded flat surface represented  by a simple four-parameter plane equation.

Key-In

Use the Plane by Key In function to create a plane defined directly by its Ax+By+Cz=D plane equation.

Plane by Menu

Use the Plane by Menu function to create a plane by using menu options to define it.

Entities

Use the By Entities function to create a plane based on the entities that you select.

Three Positions

Use the By Three Positions function to create a plane based on three positions that you indicate.

Entity/Position

Use the Entity/Position function to create a plane by an entity that you select and a position that you indicate.

Normal to Curve

Use the Normal to Curve creation method to create plane entities that are perpendicular to a selected curve.

Normal to Vector

Use the Normal to Vector function to create a plane that is perpendicular to a vector entity that you indicate.

Associative by Entities

Use the Associative by Entities function to create a plane by selected entities that is associative to those entities.

Associative by Three Positions

Use the Associative by Three Positions function to create a plane that is associative to the three positions used to define it.

Associative by Entity/Position

Use the Associative by Entity/Position function to define a plane by a selected entity and an indicated position.

Least Squares Fit

Measured points that are intended to define a plane can deviate from a mathematically defined plane.
