Line

The features available from the Line submenu can be used to create line entities by several varying methods.


Endpoints

Use this feature to create a line by indicating new end point positions.


String

Use this feature to create a string of lines where the end point of one line is the starting point of the next.


Polygon

Use this feature to create a polygon shape with equal-length sides consisting of line entities.


Parallel through a Position

Use this feature to create a line, parallel to an existing line, through a position that you specify.


Parallel at Distance

Use this feature to create a parallel line at a specified distance from a selected reference line.


At an Angle

Use this feature to create a line at a specified angle from an existing line, vector, or arc.


Horizontal

Use this feature to create a horizontal line through an indicated reference position, parallel to the construction view X axis.


Vertical

Use this feature to create a vertical line through an indicated reference position perpendicular to the construction view X axis.


Horizontal and Vertical

Use this feature to create two lines, one horizontal and one vertical, through an indicated reference position.


Tangent to Two Entities

Use this feature to create a line tangent to two selected entities.


Tangent through a Position

Use this feature to create a line tangent to a selected entity through a reference position that you specify.


Tangent and Perpendicular

Use this feature to create a line tangent to the first selected entity and perpendicular to the second selected entity.


Perpendicular to Two Entities

Use this feature to create a line perpendicular to two selected entities.


Perpendicular through a Position

Use this feature to create a line perpendicular to a selected entity through a position that you specify.


Perpendicular and Tangent

Use this feature to create a line perpendicular to the first selected entity and tangent to the second.
